Description

A young man, who is characterized to seem unattractive, attempts to gain peer recognition by consuming Philip Morris cigarettes. These products make him seem more desirable to attractive women and is subject to envy by his classmates. This interpretation may convey that anyone--including the moderately unpopular--has a chance of obtaining recognition and admiration from their peers. And by purchasing and consuming Philip Morris products, in particular, the path towards acceptance and approval would be accessible.
