Description

T.G. Masaryk writes to President Woodrow Wilson to gain support for a Mid-European Union that would stretch from the Baltic to the Greek Peninsula. Masaryk sees this Union as a new way to organize Central Europe, and appeals to Wilson's principles of democracy and self-determination. Masayrk states that the dismemberment of Austria-Hungary and the subsequent reorganization of Central Europe is the primary goal of WWI.
